Bomb drop June13th09, well done Paul Lewis who came first.

The weather was dry. With a noticeable but not strong cross wind blowing away from the flight line on the N/S runway. 7 participated .Chris arrived a little late but made his way to the start only to discover that his bomb cradle had destroyed itself on the grass on the way and he had to withdraw from the contest.

Round 1......Paul rolled inverted to release his bomb from the post banded to the top of his (sharons) cougar and dropped the bomb into the 10 point area ....followed immediately with the cougar in a vertical power dive into exactly the same spot!!!!!!! Brian achieved a commendable score ,Graham made a well executed run in but released a fraction too late and his bomb landed on the centre line but outside the target area....Simon started well but was unable to fully release his bomb so failed to score...Joe and Cenk had steady runs to achieve their solid scores in the first round while Rob managed to drop his bomb at the right time but way off target in the rape

Round 2....... Going into the second round in the lead ..Paul, using Joe`s harrier, made a steady 5pts as did Simon using Joe`s bomb ....Joe, relieved that both plane and bomb were returned to him intact. also had a steady run but lost his bomb in the rape without score.... similarly Cenk placed his bomb well into the rape and lost it....Brian repeated his commendable first round performance and score.... Rob also repeated his performance of the first round with again a zero score and a bomb in the rape.....Graham was unable to persuade both engines of his twin to run at the same time so had to forfeit his second round

Thanks to all who took part in this contest which was conducted in good spirit and all seemed to enjoy ...particular thanks to Joe for generously sharing his plane and his bomb so going a long way to keeping the contest going...Thanks also to all the spotters and adjudicators and everyone who went bomb hunting in the rape
